Hi, I started a weight lifting routine a couple years ago and fell off the wagon. Since I had my son 3 years ago I knew something was off with my body but didn't know what it was. I recently (just this week) finally found out the culprit: gluten. I've developed a gluten intolerance since having him. I already feel better and have more energy since eliminating it so I'm wanting to pick back up with the weights again. My problem is, I've gained a ton of weight since having him. I need to lose a solid 60-80 pounds. I'm wondering if it's possible to gain muscle and lose weight at the same time? Since having my son I've lowered my calorie intake to 1200 with about a gallon of water a day. Is this too few of calories to feed my muscles? I'm scared to death of gaining more weight but also don't want to put in the work and not get any results because I'm not giving my muscles the proper fuel. I'm also very limited to how many days I can lift.I'll normally only have 2 days a week. Will I see results with only 2 days a week? I'm desperate to get some results and finally get healthy again, I'm prepared to do what I need to do I just don't know what that is. My goal is to just be strong and healthy, not competition ready or anything. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Please help. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Yes! It is very possible. Taking supplements on post workout helps in muscle development.
